Is there any possibility of corona virus to spread through feaces? Should we take any precautions on this case?

Like other viruses it can also be found in feaces but it mainly spreads by having close contact with an infected person or the droplets released when the person sneezes or coughes.

There is also unknown possibility of COVID-19 transmission from the feces of an infected human.

There is also a small risk based on previously experienced coronaviral outbreaks, such as serious acute respiratory disease (SARS) and respiratory syndrome in the Middle East (MERS). The risk will be minimal. To date fecal-oral COVID-19 transmission reports have not been published.

It is advisable to avoid contamination of feces and other biological matter with infected persons.
