Scopus: An abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature with bibliometrics tools to track, analyze and visualize research. It contains over 19,500 titles from more than 5,000 publishers around the world, covering the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities. Scopus has 46 million records dating back to 1823 and 72% of these contains references dating from 1996.

Iowa Drug Information Service (IDIS): The IDIS database consists of full-text articles and an index of article citations selected from 200 peer-reviewed English language journals. Articles and reports for the IDIS database are selected from 200 peer-reviewed English language medical and pharmaceutical journals, F DA approval packages, FDA Advisory Committee briefin g documents, FDA boxed warnings, AHRQ publications, National Institute for Health and C linical Excellence (NICE) guidelines and appraisals, clinical practice guidelines and more. IDIS pharmacists index those articles that pertain to drug use in humans, ide ntifying the main drugs and diseases.

Drugdex: DRUGDEX is the ultimate drug resource with fully referenced, unbiased content covering dosage, pharmacokinetics, cautions, interactions, comparative efficacy, labeled and off- label indications, and clinical applications. DRUGDEX also spans international, FDA-approved, and nonprescription preparations.

Poisindex: The Micromedex® POISINDEX S ystem from the Healthcare business of Thomson Reuters is a trusted, evidence-based resource to help identify, manage, and treat toxicological exposures.

International Pharmaceutical Abstracts: Worldwide, comprehensive bibliographic coverage of pharmaceutical science and health related literature produced in co -operation with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. International Pharmaceutical Abstracts includes 30 years of in-depth indexed reference to the world pharmacy (in the broadest sense) literature; plus, related health, medical, cosmetic journals, and state pharmacy journals; abstracts of presentations at major pharmacy meetings are also included.

There are 60 scientific databases, of which Elsevier is one of the leading information resource providers. I'm proud to be an Elsevier Student Ambassador for South Asia.
