Does drinking alcohol prevent the corona virus?

I heard that drinking or applying on body alcohol will protect me from corona virus . Is that true? What is your advice?
No, drinking alcohol does not prevent one from corona virus infection but the possibility of getting infection can be reduced when cleaning your hands using alcohol based hand soaps and water.
In any circumstances drinking alcohol is not advisable to prevent corona-virus infection.
