Sun Pharma, India’s largest drug maker by market share, said one of its sub-sidiaries plans to acquire US-based InSite
Vision, a company that develops specialty ophthalmic, or eye care drugs. The deal,with an equity value of $48 million in addi-tion to related debt and transaction costs, is expected to help build Sun’s branded oph-thalmology products portfolio in the US.
