Human Anatomy and Physiology

Imparts fundamental knowledge on the structure and functions of the human body and helps in understanding both homeostasis mechanisms and homeostatic imbalances of various body systems.

Pharmaceutics

Imparts basic knowledge on the art and science of formulating different dosage forms. It prepares the students for most basics of the applied field of pharmacy.

Medicinal Biochemistry

Provide biochemical facts and principles of molecular level of the chemical process associated with living cells in normal and abnormal state. Also deals with chemical aspects of human life in health and illness and the application of chemical laboratory methods to diagnosis, control of treatment and prevention of diseases.

Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry

Imparts knowledge about IUPAC / Common systems of nomenclature, physical properties, mechanism and uses of different classes of organic compounds.

Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry

Provides fundamentals of analytical chemistry and Inorganic pharmaceuticals and also provides basic knowledge of analysis of various pharmaceuticals.

Remedial Mathematics/ Biology

Imparts basic knowledge in matrices, determinants, trigonometry, analytical geometry, differential calculus, integral calculus, differential equations, laplace transform / Also imparts knowledge on natural sources such as plant and animal origin.

Pathophysiology

Imparts basic knowledge on pathophysiological mechanisms, and pathology of various disease conditions with reference to its pharmacological applications.

Pharmaceutical Microbiology

Helps in understanding the relevance of microbiology to pharmaceutical sciences and more specifically to pharmaceutical industry. Also provides basic knowledge on sterilization of pharmaceutical products, equipment, media, immunological preparations, diseases and its transmission, diagnosis, control and immunological tests.

Pharmacognosy & Phytopharmaceuticals

Imparts knowledge on medicinal uses of various naturally occurring drugs their history, sources, distribution, method of cultivation, active constituents, medicinal uses, identification tests, preservation methods, substitutes and adulterants.

Pharmacology-I

Helps in understanding of what drugs do to living organism and how their effects can be applied to therapeutics and thus to improve the outcome of therapeutic intervention by the doctors.

Community Pharmacy

Provides knowledge and skills that are required to provide various pharmaceutical care services to patients and general practitioners in the community setup.

Pharmacotherapeutics-I

Imparts knowledge and skills necessary for contribution to quality use of medicines and management of various disease conditions.

Pharmacology-II

Imparts knowledge on chemotherapeutic agents and principles of toxicology, and its mechanism of action of individual drugs.

Pharmaceutical Formulations

Imparts fundamental knowledge on formulation and evaluation of various pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Pharmacotherapeutics- III

Imparts knowledge and skills necessary for contribution to quality use of medicines and management of various disease conditions.

Hospital Pharmacy

Imparts knowledge and skills on drug distribution, drug dispensing, manufacturing of parenteral preparations, drug information, patient counseling, and therapeutic drug monitoring for improved patient care.

Clinical Pharmacy

Imparts basic knowledge and skills that are required for practice of pharmacy including provision of pharmaceutical care services to patients and healthcare professionals in clinical settings, and patient medication therapy management.

Biostatistics & Research Methodology

Imparts fundamental knowledge on biostatistics and research methodology and their applications in the design and conduct of clinical research.

Biopharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics

Imparts knowledge and skills necessary for dose calculations, dose adjustments and to apply concept of biopharmaceutics in practical problem solving.

Clinical Toxicology

Imparts knowledge on general principles and basic aspects involved in the prevention and management of poisoning cases.

Pharmacotheraputics I & II

Imparts knowledge and skills necessary for contribution to quality use of medicines and management of various disease conditions.

Clinical Research

Provides fundamental knowledge regarding the various approaches to drug discovery including clinical phases of development, and enables the students to understand and adopt all regulatory and ethical requirements that are required during the process of drug development.

Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics

Imparts knowledge regarding different methods and applications of various research designs and also on pharmacoeconomics aspects in research involving human subjects.

Clinical Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacotherapeutic Drug Monitoring

Imparts knowledge and skills to demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply pharmacokinetic principles in designing and individualizing dosage regimen in order to optimize the drug therapy.

Clerkship

Imparts knowledge and skills that are required for the effective provision of pharmaceutical care services and communication with patient/caretaker and healthcare professionals.

Project work

Provides knowledge and skills on design and conduct of biomedical research.
