Analytical, bio-technology, lab equipment, pharma machinery and outsourcing services in India is set for huge augmentation owing to quality, research, regulatory and environmental compliances. Consequently, the need of the hour for Indian industry players is to optimise the potential of today’s landscape with better product and service offerings according to Yogesh Mudras, managing director, UBM India

Speaking at the inauguration of the third edition of PharmaLytica 2016, an industry platform dedicated to analytical, outsourcing, laboratory, pharma machinery and biotechnology sectors, he said it was in order to further market these offerings to a wider audience and in-turn stimulate trade amongst this niche pharma sector, UBM India has brought the third edition of PharmaLytica.

UBM India, organisers of CPhI and P-MEC India, the leading global pharma trade show and conference had hosted the third Edition of PharmaLytica 2016 from August 5 to 6.

"PharmaLytica will not only enable the exhibitors and visitors to network and connect but will also help the pharma community to pick up the latest industry trends and inventions pertaining to these sectors with its power-packed conferences,” he added.

The two day event was inaugurated by Dr PV Appaji, director general, Pharmexcil, Partha Sarathi Reddy, chairman & managing director, Hetero Drugs, AVS Chakravarthi, CEO & managing director, Ecobliss India Pvt Ltd, Dr Rao Vadlamudi, president, Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) and Yogesh Mudras, managing director, UBM India at the HITEX Exhibition Center.

Backed by proven expertise of growing businesses in India’s pharma sector, PharmaLytica has been able to create an ideal platform for the pharma industry experts from analytical & bio tech, lab equipment & lab chemicals, pharma machinery and outsourcing solutions background. The event was held in Hyderabad, which is considered to be the best bulk drug hub in the country and accounts for nearly a fifth of India’s exports of drugs.

Through an entire range of sessions and discussions as part of the PharmaLytica conference, the event has been able to help the pharmaceutical community keep updated with the latest industry trends and innovations pertaining to the analytical, biotechnology, laboratory, pharma machinery & outsourcing services sector. The event had participants from over 150 exhibitors from across the country.

“Being a leader in the Pharma Exhibition space, this year, UBM India is also proud to announce the launch of the ‘India Pharma Week’ while celebrating a decade of CPhI and P-MEC India. The weeklong event which will be held concurrently at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai will host over 10 sub events which will focus on business, knowledge, leadership, innovation & recognition in the field of pharma, strengthening our foothold in the sector,” he added.

Key sessions at PharmaLytica covered subjects that encompass new trends and insights relating to the sector at large. The first day saw sessions on ‘Status and Trend of Global Innovative Drugs – The Power of Partnerships and Alliances’, ‘Contemporary Clinical Trials – Issues and Concerns’, ‘Good Pharmacovigilance Practice’, Role of technology and Health outcomes: A peek into the Future, ‘Converting Pharmaceutical innovation into sustainable productivity’ and ‘Diagnostic Clinics - Role of Real World Data’.

The second day had sessions such as ‘India’s Continued Alignment with the Global Pharmaceutical Industry’ ‘GMP Regulations for Pharma Industry’, ‘Advancements and Impacts of Analytical and Bioanalytical Techniques’, ‘Advances in Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry’, ‘Laboratory Analytical Market –Statusquo and Future’, and ‘ISA Standards in the context of the food and pharmaceutical industry’.

The event also featured an Innovation Gallery with eight participating companies showcasing their innovation and latest technology.
