FPGEE Registration

After FPGEC process You will be notified of your eligibility to buy your Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination (FPGEE) appointment.

A FPGEE Identification Card (FIC) will also be released to you five company days after you've been approved via US Postal Mail.

Pearson VUE (the test provider of NABP) will send you an Authorization to Test (ATT) email. Pearson VUE (www.pearsonvue.com/nabp) may not plan your testing appointment until you have your ATT.

Twice a year, once in spring and once in autumn, the FPGEE is administered. NABP announces on the FPGEE page test dates and relevant deadlines at least two months prior to the date of the test. Follow the link to know the exam dates - https://nabp.pharmacy/programs/fpgee/im ... ing-dates/

After you take the exam, your FPGEE results will be accessible for about eight weeks and the scores will be displayed on your e-profile. The minimum acceptable passing score for the FPGEE is 75. Score Range is 1- 150
If you have not passed the FPGEE and your two-year eligibility period has not expired, you can repay the FPGEE fee by submitting a new FPGEE registration.'

FPGEE Exam Syllabus

The FPGEE Competency Statements serve as a blueprint for the examination subjects covered. They provide significant data on the understanding, judgment, and abilities that you are supposed to show while taking the FPGEE.

The FPGE exam is made up of 250 questions (in order to pass you need to get 75% correct) and is divided into four content areas:

Basic biomedical sciences - 10%
Pharmaceutical Sciences - 33%
Social, behavioral, administrative pharmacy sciences - 22%
Clinical sciences - 35%

To download the FPGEE syllabus/ Exam Blue Print / Sample Question follow this link to get the FPGEE student guide -

Pre- FPGEE Procedure (Not Mandatory)

Pre-FPGEE is a practice test containing similar questions to those that you will find on the FPGEE. By providing a preview of the FPGEE testing experience, it can help you prepare to take the FPGEE exam.

Your e-Profile is a separate FPGEE registration account. You will have seven (7) days to take the test once you register and pay for the Pre-FPGEE. Pre-FPGEE's cost is $50. Any major credit card can be used.

TOEFL iBT Process

You must complete the TOEFL iBT English-language proficiency requirements for FPGEC certification.
The minimum score requirements for the TOEFL iBT are as follows:

Reading – 22
Listening – 21
Speaking – 26
Writing – 24

Within five years after receiving a passing FPGEE score, you must pass the TOEFL. The passing of TOEFL scores is valid for five years for the FPGEC programme. During the FPGEC process, you can take the TOEFL at any time.

Please contact the pharmacy board in the state where you want to obtain your pharmacist permit to receive data about the internship and licensing demands of that state once you have obtained FPGEC accreditation.

NABP also recommends you to verify the state's eligibility criteria for the North American Pharmacist Licensing Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE) prior to registration for those exams.

NAPLEX Exam Process

NAPLEX, or North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination, measures a candidate's understanding of pharmacy practice. It is just one element of the licensing system and is used by pharmacy boards as part of their evaluation of a candidate's ability to practice as a pharmacist.

In contrast to the licensing transfer process, for which many states require at least one year of practice as a licensed pharmacist, score transfer enables you to move forward with licensing in more than one state as soon as you pass NAPLEX.

To start the two-step process, log into your NABP e-Profile. Before that you need to understand the requirements from board of pharmacy which you apply - https://nabp.pharmacy/boards-of-pharmacy/

Step-1 Apply for the Exam

They review your e-profile and application's data. Check with your pharmacy board before applying to ensure that you fulfill their criteria.

You will pay a $100 non-refundable application fee when you send your request to NABP. For applicants selecting Colorado, Maine, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, there is an extra $85 non-refundable charge

Step 2: Purchasing the Exam

Log in to your NABP e-Profile again when you are prepared to buy the exam so you can plan it at the test center.
To buy your exam, go to Exam Services and pay the suitable fee. Use the Score Transfer option if you intend to seek licensing in various countries.

To take advantage of the NAPLEX score transfer program, you can select states in addition to the primary state you are seeking licensing during the NAPLEX registration process, and NABP will forward your score to those pharmacy boards. The cost is $75 per state.

NAPLEX Exam

Pearson VUE (the testing vendor of NABP) will send you a test authorization (ATT). The ATT includes the dates you are eligible to take the exam and an authorization number.

Score results are typically available approximately seven business days after you have taken the NAPLEX. The minimum acceptable passing score for the NAPLEX is 75

Syllabus NAPLEX

A powerful Blueprint knowledge will help you prepare for the examination. Two regions are split between the 250 questions.

Ensure Safe and Effective Pharmacotherapy and Health Outcomes – 67%

Safe and Accurate Preparation, Compounding, Dispensing, and Administration of Medications and Provision of Health Care Products – 33%

You are allowed a maximum of 5 attempts to pass the NAPLEX. After a failed attempt, you must wait 45 days to next attempt the NAPLEX.

The results will be available in your NABP e profile.

MPJE exam Process

The MPJE, or Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination, incorporates federal and state-specific questions to test the case law of pharmacy with understanding of potential pharmacists.

It serves as an examination of the pharmacy law in the participating jurisdictions and tests the candidate's mastery of the pharmacy law.

MPJE and NAPLEX exam process are same, but it differs with exam syllabus,

The MPJE Statements of Competency provide a blueprint of the subjects covered by the exam. A powerful knowledge of the statements of competence will help you prepare for the examination. The 120 MPJE issues are split into three fields of content:

Pharmacy Practice – 83%
Licensure, Registration, Certification, and Operational Requirements – 15%
General Regulatory Processes – 2%
