Research Associateship (ICMR)
The Indian Council of Medical Research awards the following categories of fellowships to young scientists to enable them to carry out research as Research Associates in the field of biomedical sciences at the permanent Institutes of the Council, other biomedical research institutes, medical colleges and Universities in India where adequate laboratories and other facilities to carry out research are available.
Eligibility
• Doctorate degree in Medicine MD/MDS, or PhD in any field
• Age limit is 40 years (Relaxed by 2 years in case of women candidates)
Support
Stipend
Research Associate - I: ₹36,000 per month plus HRA Research Associate - II: ₹38,000 per month plus HRA Research Associate - III: ₹40,000 per month plus HRA
Contingent grant: ₹20,000 per year
Duration
Maximum tenure is three years, and is subject to annual review of work done.
