We are excited to hire a Clinical Terminologist for our IP Engineering team. As a Clinical Terminologist, you are a key member of the Population Health India team and a subject matter expert on mapping and aggregating clinical data to be utilised within the Cerner HealtheIntent solutions.
You will draw on clinical knowledge to map and group data across multiple standard terminologies and specialty domains, develop terminology content and programs for rules, registries, analytics or applications within an Electronic Health Record, and perform data pattern analytics and gap analyses.
You will also be reviewing client proprietary codes or industry standard documentation to verify that correct medical terminologies are being utilized, and troubleshoot and resolve client terminology issues as they arise, with an involvement in data quality improvement activities.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Health Care/Science/Nursing or related field, or equivalent experience
At least 2 years of clinical work experience, preferably as a nurse, pharmacist or in a clinical laboratory
Preferred Qualifications :
At least 1 years of Health Care Information Technology (HCIT) solution strategy or consulting work
At least 1 year of standard medical terminology work experience such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10-CM, RxNorm
Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
Willing to work overtime or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
