Li QinGyuan, Director of Chinese Japan Friendship Hospital Pneumonia Prevention and Treatment, states that people infected with Covid 19 produce a defense antibody – but how long defense will last is not clear.

It is suspected that the virus in children at least induces short-term immunity.

The immune response to Covid-19 is not yet understood,” the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) explains. “Patients with MERS-CoV infection are unlikely to be reinfected shortly after they recover.
